My name is Jimmy Waite.

I was born and raised in Sherbrooke, Quebec. I played my junior hockey in the QMJHL for the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. I was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the first round, 8th overall, in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. I played most of my NHL career with the Blackhawks, but also spent time with the San Jose Sharks and Phoenix Coyotes.

After Phoenix, I had one season playing for the St.John’s Maple Leafs in the AHL. I then  decided to take my career over seas to Germany. I played in the DEL for parts of 8 seasons, mainly with the Ingolstadt Panthers. I finished my career with the Nuremberg Ice Tigers and retired in 2009.

I am currently part owner of SBK Hockey in Sherbrooke, and heading the European sales division.

I live in Sherbrooke with my wife Nancy and 2 boys, Brandon and Matthew.
